Kato announces truck mounted motors in HO

Very cool news from Kato. I look forward to putting two big speakers and a QSI Titan DCC decoder in one of the new models.

As soon as it arrives from Walthers. I need to see what the dimensions of the kit are so I can figure out what to do with the bridge abutments.

Progress

Not too bad...

Not bad at all given my meager carpentry skills. It looks like I have learned a thing or two in all the years I have been building layouts.

Subroadbed progress

I think I have a method that will work. I still have to pickup some Titebond glue and quick clamps, as recommended by Mr. Darren T. Kinleyside, but I am on the right track.

There is 4" of separation between bench work and the top of the sub-roadbed. That was done so that two layers of 2" foam could be stacked and carved for scenery.
